Monolithic Christian church, curved in the solid rock, is situated in Ethiopia. With the size of about 40×40×40 feet it is divided from the rest of the rock with a 32 feet trench. According to Ethiopian cultural history, the Church of St. George was built after King Gebre Mesqel Lalibela had a vision in which he was instructed by St.George and the God to construct the church.
